Hi, I’m Kathy, or within Soupernatural I’m known as Souper! Or the talented one…or the beautiful one!
I have been a chef for 13 years now. I trained in Belfast and got my first job a long time ago in the Hillside in Hillsborough where I worked for a hundred years and then left!
I went travelling in Australia and worked in a lovely little place there where I got to create my own menus and take charge of a kitchen for the first time.
Organic: Raised without the use of drugs, hormones, or synthetic chemicals.
When I returned home and still had the travelling bug I decided to head to Galway. A place I have always loved. So off I went and became the head chef of a bar called Monroes.
I worked and drank there for over a year and then got a phone call from my sister, we’ll call her Natural, wanting to know if I would consider moving home to start our own soup making empire which was to be called Soupernatural!
So as my liver had had enough of living in Galway I decided to head home!
Three years on and we are still going strong. Business is getting better every year and the rest, as they say, is history.
